How can we understand the different properties of cells within the brain? With this question in mind, I have stained the cells of a mice’s cerebellum with three different antibodies. It visualizes cell bodies (blue), Bergmann glial cells (green) and Purkinje neurons (red). To me, most fascinating about this picture is how modern days technology enables us to authentically picture the various characters of each cell within the brain - as colorful as a (b)rainbow.
