Where do we want to go? Whom do we want to meet (again)? Whom would we help? I study how people make decisions together and with the help of others. I am fascinated by the many facets of human behavior my research allows me to shed light on and the many different and exciting places it brings me to – like Grand Central Terminal in New York. The bustling activity here nicely illustrates that most of our decisions are influenced by our (social) surrounding and have to be made fast and intuitively.
