Maoist symbolism on an electricity pole near a highway

While studying the impact of the Maoist Revolution on local politics and labour practices of former debt bonded labourers in western Nepal, I came across the party symbol on several electricity poles near the East-West Mahindra Highway. The picture reminds me that the symbolic reworking of landscapes is essential for the Nepalese revolutionaries. It made me think: How will the Maoist Revolution change the lives of local people?
