Deploying the frame for a dome tent by helicopter for ice-core drilling on Colle Gnifetti and later view of the dome in the morning sun sun with Zumstein- and Dufourspitze in the background. For me the fascination of these images is the contrasts between the beautiful ancient scenery, the necessary intense and rugged logistic for access and the finally retrieved fragile ice core, which records the history of central Europe's climate over the last few thousands of years.
